Updated on July 13, 2025 by Mark Sammut:Five Nights At Freddy’s is still going strong. To celebrate the wide assortment of greatFNAF fan games, more details have been added for every title highlighted below, including a link to their official pages.
10Aftonbuilt
A Dark And Promising Fan Game That Did Not Reach Its Full Potential
Aftonbuilt(developed by JeliLiam) is a refreshingly dark take on the events that befall the blaze that destroyed Fazbear’s Fright inFive Nights At Freddy’s 3.The player will assume the role of a protagonist simply referred to as “The Mechanic,” who ominously teams up with the now-deceased founder of the infamous pizzeria franchise, William Afton, to build him a new animatronic body, so he can walk among the living once again.
The gameplay ofAftonbuiltis what sets it apart from mostFive Nights At Freddy’sfan games. Instead of closing doors and simply avoiding or warding off animatronics, players have the ability to fight back and trap the menacing animatronics in Aftonbuilt.

Aftonbuiltwas never completed due to being rejected for Fazbear Fanverse; consequently, only a demo is available to the public. The project still warrants a mention, but newcomers should be aware that they are not getting a complete experience.
9One Night At Flumpty’s
A Fun, Cartoon-Style Twist On The Classic FNAF Formula
One Night At Flumpty’s(developed by Jonochrome) is a cartoony take on the gameplay style ofFive Nights At Freddy’s.Unlike the original series,One Night At Flumpty’s— true to its name — only takes place throughout one night. The catch? It gets progressively harder and harder for the player to survive as the night marches on.
The player must survive until 6:00 AM by avoiding Flumpty Bumpty and his friends, such as Birthday Boy Blam and Grunkfuss The Clown. In trueFive Nights At Freddy’sfashion, if the player doesn’t manage to ward off the menacing cartoon characters, they’re met with a nasty jumpscare.

8POPGOES
A Great Follow-Up To The Original Game
POPGOESis definitely a must-play for those who enjoy the dizzying panic of managing multiple tasks at once to stay alive and survive until the end of the night. This point-and-click indie horror game developed by Kane Carter only takes the events from the first threeFive Nights At Freddy’sgames into account when creating its lore.
POPGOEStakes place a year after the fire that burnt down Fazbear’s Fright, taking place in a brand-new successor to the once-popular pizza chain, The Popgoes Pizzeria. The protagonist unsuspectingly assumes the role ofthe new night guard for the pizzeriaonly to slowly realize that the mind behind the new establishment and its technology, Fritz, didn’t build The Popgoes Pizzeria for the customers or revenue…he built it forhimself.

7Those Nights At Rachel’s
New Animatronics Make For A Worthwhile FNAF Experience
From the creator of the immensely horrifyingJoy Of CreationandJoy Of Creation: Reborn, Nikson also developed the charming and unsettlingThose Nights At Rachel’s.Similar to the originalFive Nights At Freddy’s, Those Nights At Rachel’schallenges players to monitor eerie animatronics as they wander around and attempt to get into the office where the protagonist dwells.
Those Nights At Rachel’s,notably, has an entirely new set of animatronics. Replacing the beloved Freddy Fazbear with the ominously adorable Rachel The Rabbit and her friends, Bane, Doug, Ray, and Pete.

6Fredbear’s Fright
Another Chain, Another Set Of Animatronics Who Will Inspire Nightmares
Similar to the plot ofFive Nights At Freddy’s 3,Fredbear’s Frighttakes place long after the original chain of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria closed down. In honor of the pizzeria’s dark history, a new horror attraction begins to open its doors for guests to experience the dark history of Fazbear Entertainment. Old locations were stripped for realistic props and old animatronics were brought back to life for the sake of authenticity. Nothing could go wrong, right?
Fredbear’s Frightwas originally released in 2017 from the creative mind of Garrett McKay. The game has received a few updates and further teasers since then, adding new characters, secret endings, rare screens, and much more. It is a polished and enjoyableFNAFfan gamethat mostly sticks true to the franchise’s core formula.

5Jr’s
Great Visual Style
Jr’sbares a strikingly similar style to that of Battington’sFive Nights At Freddy’sVHS Tapes. This creepily vintage style is meant to simulate what the original four animatronics would’ve looked like if their designs were true to the eighties timeline they’re set in. These insanely high-quality designs and graphics have chilled players just by looking at them, makingJr’sa sure-to-be hit in the community of fan games forFive Nights At Freddy’s.
AlthoughJr’shasn’t been released yet, its graphics and concept have generated more hype than some fully polished and released fan games. Instead of the regular point-and-click horror game format,Jr’scalls itself an “all-around investigation type game,” where different vintage animatronics will become possessed each night—and the player must find clues to weed out which animatronics are haunted, and which are not.

4Five Nights At Candy’s
A Classic FNAF Fan Game
Five Nights At Candy’sis considered one of the classicFive Nights At Freddy’sfan games. Developed by Emil “Ace” Macko,Five Nights At Candy’sdoesn’t just stop at its initial release. There are currently two sequels (with a third in the works) to the game, as well as a remastered version of the originalFive Nights At Candy’s.

3Joy Of Creation: Story Mode
A Meta Look Into Five Nights At Freddy’s
TheJoy Of Creationfan games are a dark, fourth-wall-breaking take on the creation ofFive Nights At Freddy’sitself.Joy Of Creation: Story Mode, specifically, puts players in the shoes ofScott Cawthonand his family as they celebrate the second anniversary of the firstFive Nights At Freddy’s.
Except it isn’t the success of the beloved horror game that’s knocking at their door on its anniversary, it’s the scorched animatronics from the titular series themselves. The player must try and keep the Cawthon family alive as they survive the night and unveil secrets lying around their own home. Secrets that would detail the chain of events that led to the cancelation of the next game in theFive Nights At Freddy’sseries.

2JOLLY
Expands On Core FNAF Experience Really Well
JOLLYmight look a bit familiar to players who are familiar with the real-life restaurant, Jollibee’s. BeforeJOLLY,this series ofFive Nights At Freddy’sfan games were respectively calledJollibee’s: Phase 1, 2, and 3. Unfortunately, the similarities to the real-life restaurant proved a bit too close for comfort, as the original games had to be taken down due to copyright infringement.
IvanG, the developer of the fan games, saw how well-received the initial gameswere, and thus createdJOLLY.The game plays in the same classicFive Nights At Freddy’sformat, but with the addition of a generator to charge the power in the building, as well as an elevator that the player can control. So far, there are three terrifying installments in theJOLLYseries, with a fourth on the way.
