Perhaps one of the more peculiar things aboutDragon Ball Legendsis its RPG component, which allows players to not only improve specific skill areas but also useEquipmentto enhance the abilities of their favoriteDragon Ball Zcharacters. With hundreds of options available though, figuring out which is the best equipment inDragon Ball Legendsis going to require a fair amount of research.
Updated on June 28, 2025, by Rhenn Taguiam:Fans paying close attention toDragon Ball Legends metamay have a bit of a difficult time fitting in newcomers such as Super Saiyan God SS Goku (Legends Limited) and Master Roshi (Sparking) finally entering the team-based fighting game. However, when trying to build teams that dominate the meta, fans need to consider the kind of Equipment they give their characters. After all, some of the best Equipment in the game so far include further upgrades to foes that are built specifically to fight the popular Super Saiyan archetype. These include buffs to Androids and Regeneration characters, as well as boosts to characters who have come from the Future.

15Don’t You Agree? (Android)
During the first encounter of the Z-Warriors with the updated Androids, Future Trunks surprised them with the realization that the threat that almost put the world on its knees isn’t Androids 19 and 20. Instead, it’sthe twins Android 17 and Android 18, whose mercilessness and their unlimited energy supply allowed them to contend with the likes of Goku and Vegeta. InDragon Ball Legends,Don’t You Agree?is one of the best-supporting Equipment for Androids out there, especially with its buffs such as Base Strike Defense UP, Special Move Damage UP, and Base Blast Attack UP.
This equipment allowsDragon Ball Legendsplayers to outperform the usual melee powerhouse Saiyans in long-ranged combat. This is especially the case with the equipment’s defenses against melee while boosting overall ranged capabilities. When equipped with the likes of Perfect Cell (SP, Purple, LL) and Perfect Form Cell (Revived, SP, Red, LL), an Android team can pulverize the meta-occupying Saiyans.

14Haaaaaaaa! (Regeneration)
WithDragon Ballbeing a martial arts-action anime, it’s no surprise that characters almost always become associated with their special attacks. This is especially the case with Goku, whose Kamehameha became the technique most associated with him, despite the likes of Krillin and his teacher Master Roshi knowing about the attack as well. In turn, it was such a surprising revelationwhen the villain Cellis shown capable of using such a technique, courtesy of “receiving DNA” from the Z-Fighters, effectively making him the “ultimate weapon.”
This is entirely whatHaaaaaaaa!personifies, especially with its target demographic of Regeneration users in the game. The Equipment boosts the Special Move Damage, Base Strike Defense, and Blast Damage of every Regeneration member in the team. This works exceptionally well with builds of characters with natural healing capabilities, such as Metal Cooler, Cell, Majin Buu, and Janemba. When used with the likes of Perfect Cell (SP, Purple, LL), and even Half-Corrupted Fusion Zamasu (SP, Red, LL), fans can create powerful teams built precisely to outpace Saiyan members of the meta who often rely on Special Moves.

13You Will Die Along With The Earth!! (Regeneration)
Perfect Cell is easily one of the most dangerous and well-written villains inDragon Ball, especially with his ego and a wicked version of an “honorable” fight becoming the backbone of his desire to destroy Earth on his own terms. While he does meet his demise at the hands of Super Saiyan 2 Gohan,Perfect Cell at his peakis a monster no one in the team could potentially contend with. This is reflected inYou Will Due Along With The Earth!!,an Equipment that boosts not only Base Strike Attack and Base Blast Attack, but also Special Move Damage.
While the Equipment works for most Regeneration-type characters, this item works best for the villain in the icon: Perfect Cell. When equipped with Perfect Cell (SP, Purple, LL), this Equipment transforms the already-powerful unit into a giant on the battlefield. His key strengths rely on his anti-revival skill, as well as a toolkit for anti-Hybrids that allow him to contend with the likes of Gohan and Trunks, whose variants are currently also part of the meta.

12Bwaaaaa! (Regeneration, Melee Type)
Players who want to build their arsenal to fight against the oversaturation of Saiyans in the meta might want to lean toward Androids, particularly Cell and his variants. Aside from Perfect Cell (SP, Purple, LL) which can be a bit expensive to level up, his cheaper variants can useBwaaaaa!to boost their capabilities.
This Equipment not only boosts Base Blast Defense and Base Strike Attack but also increases Special Move Damage and Ultimate Damage. The combination of these buffs with Cell’s naturally-high stats can make him a powerhouse, especially without the presence of Androids 17 and 18 (SP, Red, LL) who are at the pinnacle of anti-meta builds. Players only working through more brutal PVP matches may want to grab Bwaaaaa! and combine it with other Regeneration units such as thevillains Majin Buu and Janemba.

11Power Unleashed (Future)
One of the deadliest enemies faced by Goku and his friends inDragon Ball Superwas Goku Black,an evil version of Gokufrom an alternate timeline. And if that wasn’t enough, this variation of Goku has a form called Super Saiyan Rose, a Super Saiyan Blue variant where Goku has tapped into the deepest recesses of his evil self. Players who acquired any variant of Goku Black and other Future characters may want to give themPower Unleashed.

With this Equipment, Future characters get boosts to Base Blast Defense, Base Blast Attack, and a buff to Strike Attack when a God Ki character is a part of the team. This immediately makes the likes of Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black (SP, Red) work in tandem with potent God Ki characters such as Super Saiyan God SS Vegito (SP, Blue) and Super Saiyan God SS Vegeta (SP, Green), allowing players to dominate the long-range scene without risking defense.
10The Tide Of This Battle Is Turning Yet Again (God Ki)
When the likes ofGod of Destruction Beeruswere introduced in the modernDragon Balllandscape, fans know Goku and the gang were approaching the big leagues. With Beerus being more than capable of destroying worlds on a whim, it’s reasonable for players ofDragon Ball Legendsto want him on their team.
And for God Ki characters,The tide of this battle is turning yet againserves as a great piece of Equipment. Aside from boosting defense against close-quarters Strike combat, the special abilities of Beerus and other divine beings get a much-needed boost to establish their superiority.

9Here I Come! No.1 (Awakened, Rival Universe)
It’s during the Universe Survival Arc that fans ofDragon Ballget to realize that there exist alternate universes with theirown versions of their strongestDragon Ballfighters. It’s also within these universes that some of the toughest fighters have forced Goku to break past his limits and unlock the legendary Ultra Instinct form, proving their might as a worthy team to build inDragon Ball Legends.
While the likes of SP Bergamo (Red), SP Lavender (Purple), and SP Basil (Blue) seem like pushovers at first, it’s items likeHere I Come! No. 1that make can turn them into formidable foes. Aside from the default boost in Blast Defense, this item may also provide a boost in Blast Attack or Defense, as well as Strike Attack or Defense. When used with the right build, this Equipment gives these characters some much-needed stability to outlast their foes.

8I’ll Send It Back! (Regeneration)
Characters inDragon Ballwho can regenerate on their own have earned a special place amongDragon Ball LegendsFighters. Classified under the Regeneration character type, these Fighters like Cell,Majin Buu, and Piccolo are almost always tanks due to their innate durability.
However, it’sI’ll Send It Back!that exemplifies their capabilities. For instance, a tank like SP Good Buu GRN can use this Equipment for its Slot 3 buffs when working with other Yellow members, especially against Purple foes who are strong against Greens. Players who plan on making tanks out of Regeneration characters should consider this one of their must-haves.

7Boundary Breaking Vegeta (Vegeta Family)
Although Gohan and Goten’s growth proves a prevalence of Goku-focused stories in the mainDragon Balllore,Vegeta’s bloodline is no sloucheither. As proven with the Vegeta Family Tag inDragon Ball Legends, prideful Vegeta and his son the humble Trunks prove to be some of the most competent Fighters the game has to offer. And, withBoundary Breaking Vegeta, their specialization in long-distance combat becomes more prevalent.

With this Equipment, not only do they get a buff for their base Blast Attack, but they also get boosts to their Special Moves. They get increased chances of unleashing a Strike Attack for each Vegeta Family member in the team too, giving players a lot more incentive to focus on growing a team featuring the bloodline.
6Battle Of Saiyans (Saiyan)
Given the number of Saiyans in theDragon Ballseries, it’s no surprise how a huge part of the fanbase would likely havethe most powerful Saiyansin theirDragon Ball Legendsteam. In this regard, players who want to maximize the performance of the likes of SP Super Saiyan 3 Goku may want theBattle of the SaiyansEquipment.
This item remains an ideal piece of Equipment for any Saiyan with a focus on Strike attacks, as the buffs they provide can help them go toe-to-toe against tougher foes in both PVP and PVE setups. As a result, this Equipment serves as a decent starting ground when building more optimized Saiyan builds for different occasions.
