As the captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, Edward Newgate, often referred to as Whitebeard, was a very powerful pirateinOne Piece. He used one of the 12 Supreme Grade Swords, the Murakumogiri, as his main weapon. Due to the sheer power of the Murakumogiri, Whitebeard achieved some incredible feats, such as forcing the clouds and heavens to break in two.
