The Tale of Bistunis an action adventure game that is heavily driven by the game’s story. It was inspired by a Persian story known as “Khosrow and Shirin,“and follows a stone carver with amnesiawho wants to discover his identity.

Although the game’s story is center stage, there are still things for every playerto know before they get into the game. These beginner tips will make gameplay much easier on the player, and lower the learning curve when just beginning.

7Go For The Ranged Enemies First

It would be in a player’s best interest to pick off any and all ranged enemies before they try and advance too further into any particular maps.Melee enemies are easier to deal with, but ranged enemies can shoot a player down from afar.

Killing ranged enemies first will ensure that players do not get hit from enemies they can barely reach. It also leaves the manageable ranged enemies for the player to deal with afterwards.

6Pick A Weapon

When a player first starts the game, they will be given a few choices of weapons to pick from and use. The beginning choices include eithertwo hatchets or a pickaxe, but as players progress, they will be able to choose between several weapons that they find later.

A player should carefully choose between the hatchet or the pickaxe. They both have their own quirks, ups and downs. While the dual hatchets are faster, the pickaxe has greater reach and an AoE (Area of Effect) ability. Later on, players will be able to find different types of weapons (such as other hatchets or whatnot). What they choose largely depends on their play style, such as taking on a weapon with higher damage or farther range.

5Don’t Forget To Dodge

Combat may be difficult for a player to get used to at first. Even thoughThe Tale of Bistunis a story-driven game,it is still an action adventure game as well. There are still little quirks when it comes to combat that a player will have to figure out when they first begin the game.

Luckily, dodging makes things a lot easier on the player. A well-timed dodge can help the player roll out of almost anything, whether that be a melee attack, or a ranged attack flying towards the player at high speeds. Luckily, the dodge mechanic is simple to execute — simply press the correct button, which can be mapped to the player’s choice (no need to do anything extra).

2Break Anything That Can Be Broken

The world ofThe Tale of Bistunis very interactive. There are all sorts of things for a player to touch, pick up, and break. It would do a player good to try and break whatever they can, in fact.

This is because of all of the things that can be stored within breakable items, such as money or items. In fact, there are actually some collectibles that are stored only within breakable pots. These collectibles — namely, journal entries from an unknown person — will provide the player with details on the many enemies that they encounter in the game.

1Be Careful

While there is a whole sprawling world ahead of the player to explore and peruse at their own leisure, that does not mean that things are not dangerous. It may be tempting to dive into the world around them without a care; however, this can end up causing the player to get killed.

A player should at least try to be a bit careful. Of course, as mentioned above, they shouldn’t let this discourage them from exploring. It would be best to take a quick glance around, at the very least, to make sure there are not any enemies around before exploring.
