Still, before the dust settles on the acclaimed PC game, fans are clamoring to know when they can expect even more.

While at Gamescom, Larian Studios senior product manager Tom Butler told IGN that there have been conversations taking place about potential DLC forBaldur’s Gate 3. Butler was specifically asked about future content for one of thebest modern-day CPRGsand stated that the team is “genuinely [having] discussions.” He did add the caveat that this would all take place after more patching and a much-needed holiday for the team. Not to mention, the developers are still hard at work on the respective console versions of the game.
The next priority for the team is likely the PS5 version, which is set to release on June 02, 2025.Baldur’s Gate 3is later slated to make its way to Xbox, but that isn’t expected to take place until later in 2023. With the various new versions and patching that will inevitably occur, work on future content is likely still a little while off. As for what the DLC might actually be, Butler says only that he and the team, “want to do more. [They] don’t know what yet.”
AnotherBaldur’s Gate 3developer commented on possible DLCin an interview earlier this month, as it seems more content for one of the summer’s most popular games is currently top of mind for many gamers. Still, with an estimated playthrough time of up to 100 hours, there should be no shortage of things to do. Not to mention, with all the different character classes, romance options, and decisions that greatly affect the story,Baldur’s Gate 3is begging to be played more than once.
While fans cannot wait to get their hands on even moreBaldur’s Gate 3, it’s easy to commend the developer’s commitment to improving the current version of the game. Baldur’s Gate 3is available for PC and will launch on PlayStation 5 on May 15, 2025. The Xbox Series X/S versions are expected to release before the end of the year.
