Atlus, the Japanese development studio behind thePersonaseries, has held its annual survey that asks the community what they wish to see from the company in the coming year. This year’s survey took a slightly different direction than the last few years, looking instead atremasters likePersona 5 Royalas opposed to new releases.
The main focus of the survey asked fans about the possibility of porting popular Atlus franchises likePersonaandShin Megami Tenseito the Switch. For the company, this certainly makes sense as it could bring new players to Atlus' longest-running games, and open up thehugely successfulPersona 5to an even larger audience.

The full list of games that Atlus seems to be considering to bring to the Switch is likely more substantial than most fans would have expected. Titles likeOdin SphereandCatherine: Full Bodyalso made the list, both of which may have trouble finding a foothold on the more family-friendly console. However, with the possibility of a title likePersona 3,Persona 5, andDigital Devil Sagapotentially headed to the Switch, fans are sure to be pleased to bring their favorite games on the go, especially after thePersona 5Switch rumorshad previously been dispelled.
The full list of games that appear in the survey follow:
Etrian Odyssey series
Persona 3, Persona 3 FES, and Persona 3 Portable
Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden
Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal
16. Shin Megami Tensei IV
17. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse
Unfortunately, there are a few beloved Atlus titles that didn’t quite make the cut for the survey, such as theTrauma Centerseries that has been silent since its latest release in 2010. A remaster or port of any of theTraumaCentergames has been a popular topic for fans as they’ve begun searching through the Atlus catalog after playingPersona 5. However, fans will likely be happy to seethe fullPersonaserieson the list, along with spin-offs and previous remasters.
Hopefully, the results of the survey will show some support for the Switch releases of these games, as fans who may have never had a chance to play these games might get a new chance to play through Atlus' list of games. There clearly is a market for some of thesetitles to come to the Switch, as fans tend to quickly gather around every rumor of just that happening. Although, most fans likely didn’t assume that such an expansive list of releases was already being considered to expand the Switch’s massive library of JRPGs.
