Compared to other recent titles in the franchise,Assassin’s Creed Miragegets by with a slim number of crafting materials: steel ingots, leather, and components. With enough of these three items, players can upgradetheir weapons, armor, and tools.

Each upgrade can demand a few dozen to a few hundred materials. These materials are easy enough to find, but players who want to upgrade all their equipment may still find themselves running low on their supplies. Fortunately,Assassin’s Creed Miragehas plenty of ways for players to gather more steel, leather, and components, all of which come from the same sources.

Traders

Traders are the general merchants in the game. Their symbol is the bag, and they also serve as places where Basim can sellall the trinkets that pile up over time. Once players meet him in Baghdad, Dervis also counts as a trader.

Every trader has the same inventory of unique items, and they all carry basic consumables and all three material types. If players have more money than materials, they can buy up to 300 steel ingots, 300 leather, and 100 components from any one trader. The ingots and leather cost one dirham each, and the components cost four each. Fortunately, players need fewer components since they only upgrade tools while the other materials also upgrade weapons and outfits.

Chests

There are three kinds of chests inAssassin’s Creed Mirage: gear chests that contain weapons and outfits (or upgrade schematics for weapons and outfits), equipment chests that restock consumables like throwing daggers and elixirs, and materials chests that contain steel ingots, leather, and components.

Players can identify materials chests because they always look the same: they’re smaller than gear chests and have round lids. They glow gold in Eagle Vision, but Enkidu can’t spot them from the skythe way he can spot gear chests and other collectibles.

Some materials chests have locks on them, and these locks come in two varieties. First, there are normal locks that require keys. Players can usually find these keys somewhere in the neighborhood, and Enkidu can spot them if players have unlocked his first upgrade. The other lockrequires a merchant token to open.

Whether or not a materials chest has a lock, opening one is an illegal action that will upset any guards or witnesses. Be careful when opening one in the street.

assassins creed mirage materials contracts

The last thing to know is that Basim can only open a materials chest once. Players can get plenty of resources by finding and opening them, but these resources never come back no matter how long it takes players to come around to the same location again.

Contracts

Each contract comes with a set reward, both for the main objective and the bonus objective. These rewards can include items, upgrade schematics, favor tokens, skill points, cash, and any of the three material types. Each contract will usually offer only one or two materials, but they can provide a substantial amount of them.

Assassin’s Creed Mirageis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
