Ryo Shirakome’sArifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongestlight novel series will conclude with the release of its next volume. The author made the announcement in the author comments section of the light novel series’ 12th volume.
The recently concludedArifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Zerolight novel spin-off serieshinted that the main series would soon reach its end with the release of its final volume in late December.

Shirakome first published the series as a web novel on the popular user-submitted content site, Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The main series ran for 8 volumes and concluded in 2015, with additional side stories released sporadically in the years following.
Overlap picked the series up for publication in 2015, releasing the first volume of the light novel in June 2015. The series is released under the Overlap Bunko imprint with illustrations by Takayaki. Theseries’ popularityhas inspired a variety of manga and light novel spin-offs.
A manga adaptation illustrated by RoGa began serialization in Overlap’s Comic Gardo magazine in 2016, and has amassed 9 tankōbon volumes throughout its run so far. A manga spin-off written and illustrated by Misaki Mori,Arifureta: I Love Isekai, began serialization in Comic Gardo in 2017.
TheArifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Zerospin-offlight novel was serializedfrom 2017-2021 under the Overlap Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Ataru Kamichi currently runs in Comic Gardo, having begun serialization in 2018.
A 13-episode anime adaptation by White Fox aired during the Summer 2019 season. The series was written and directed by Kinji Yoshimoto (Unbreakable Machine-Doll,I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job) with music by Ryō Takahashi (Princess Principal,SK8 the Infinity). Asecond season animatedby Studio Mother and Asread is currently airing. Akira Iwanaga (Corpse Party: Tortured Souls,Kingdom: Season 2) succeeded Yoshimoto as director while Shoichi Sato (Angel Heart,Tenchi Muyo! GXP) is taking over the series’ script.
J-Novel Club publishes the light novels digitally, while Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the light novel physically alongside the manga adaptation and spin-offs.
