With the choices available, players can change a character’s color, outfit, and even the little pet that follows them around during a match. However, there’s also a tab to switch up the hat worn and there’s a little trick to access some more spooky choices besides the hats normally available.

Change the Calendar Date

Thankfully, all players have to do ischange the current date for these Halloween cosmetics. PC players need to open their date and time settings which can be accessed by searching for ‘date and time’ in the Windows search bar or right clicking the calendar date in the lower right corner and selecting ‘adjust date/time.’ Make sure the option for ‘Set time automatically’ is toggled off and click the ‘Change’ button underneath ‘Set the date and time manually’ then adjust the date to October 31st, 2019.

Likewise, Android and iOS users can change their phone date by going into their settings. Android users need to tap the ‘Settings’ app, ‘General Management,’ then ‘Date and time.’ Afterwards toggling off ‘Automatic date and time’ will let players manually change the date to Halloween. The method is similar on theiPhoneand involves going through ‘Settings,’ ‘General,’ and ‘Date & Time’ before toggling off ‘Set Automatically.’

Once the date has been set to last year’s Halloween, simply start up the game and look for a match. After arriving in the lobby, move over to the bottom right corner and click the Customize button that appears. Go back to the Hats tab and variety of scary options likeJason’s maskshould show up. Note that if the Halloween hats don’t appear, simply quit and close the game before trying again.

Even if players change the date back to the present after doing this, they can still use these festive alternatives. Now everyone can celebrate Halloween year round and truly be a scary monster when hunting crewmates as animposter.
