Video game leaks are a source of chaos for industry developers and fan communities. Whether they are true or a source of false hope, leaks by their very nature will provoke discussions — sometimes heated ones — over their credibility. TheNvidia GeForce Now leakwas one of the biggest in recent years: The leak consists of a list of possible sequels, remasters, remakes, and PC ports coming to the service in the near future. SaidNvidia leakis also quite long, and can easily be dismissed as wishful thinking.

However, what theNvidiaGeForce Now leak has that several of its contemporaries lack is credibility. While it is unlikely that all the listed releases will become a reality, the leak is seemingly not just pipe dreams. Some of the games in the leak were eventually revealed, but whether the leak is right about all its ideas is currently up to speculation.

Sony

Sony has already shown interest in porting its exclusives to PC, with games likeUncharted 4andLost Legacyreceiving such treatment. Having former Sony exclusives on PC, especially titles from staple developers like Naughty Dog, is a huge deal.

PlayStation consoles have historically had a library of exclusives as rich as Nintendo’s, even discounting series that became multiplatform likeCrash BandicootandSpyro the Dragon. Continuing to take such a step with these games could lead to an interesting future for Sony’s developers, and the concept of console exclusives in general.

TheRatchet & Clankgame remains unspecified, but it could be referring to the 2016 remake of the original title.

Microsoft

Unlike Sony, Microsoft’s consoles have a history of sharing their exclusives with PC or other consoles.Bioshock,Mass Effect, andDead Risingare all games that started as Xbox 360 exclusives and became multiplatform releases with sequels.

It makes sense with PC, considering the Windows operating system is also a Microsoft creation, but the aforementioned games were released on other systems including the PlayStation 4. EvenHalo, the Xbox’s flagship franchise, is now accessible to PC gamers through Steam and Game Pass viaThe Master Chief Collection. If everything in the Nvidia leak is true, then Microsoft’s streak is far from over.

Square Enix

The games listed under the Square Enix banner are mostlyFinal Fantasy-related. It feels like announcements that aim to specifically cater to Square Enix’s biggest fanbases. So far, one game in this section is officially released,Final Fantasy 7remake, so that likely refers to a port of the game. The other games might be announced in the future, but there is no guarantee they are in development.

Capcom

Capcom is surprisingly lacking in the Nvidia leak considering its various creations, but what is included remains possible. Some of them are likely to happen with or without leaks. However, the leak seems to be missing some other big properties likeMega Man,Devil May Cry, andAce Attorney.

Take-Two Interactive

Take-Two Interactive is the company that owns the rights toBioShockand Rockstar Games’ works. BothBioShockand one of Rockstar’s biggest series,Grand Theft Auto, are included in the leak.

TheGTAremasters have already been confirmed as a reality thanks toGrand Theft Auto - The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition.

EA

EA follows the same path as other companies in the leak, with an expected sequel and an interesting way to bring back a well-received game from the past both included in its potential offerings.

Sega

Sega is similar to Capcom because of its lack of games despite plenty of potential remasters, remakes, and sequels among its franchises. In a leak full of fan requests that can easily be faked, there are no signs of aSonic Adventure 3, or the comeback of forgotten franchises likeBilly HatcherandNiGHTS.

Bayonetta 3is a PlatinumGames title officially being published by Nintendo, but was included with Sega’s offerings in the original leak.

Despite the series’ 25th anniversary, noPersonagames were included in the Nvidia leak. Popular ideas like a PC port ofPersona 5 Royal, a possible remake ofRevelations: PersonaorPersona 2: Innocent SinandEternal Punishment, and a version ofPersona 3were not been found.

Singular Game Companies

Like previous companies, many of the developers listed with just one game in the leak are not completely unbelievable. For example, anArkham Knightremaster could follow up theArkham Asylum and Arkham Cityremasters, meanwhile aHalf-Life 2remaster, while not the elusive third title, could be Valve’s way of seeing if people are still heavily invested in the series afterHalf-Life: Alyxin 2020.Tekken 8, part of a prominent fighting game series, may likely be made available in the future.

Other Third-Party Titles

How likely the remaining games in the leak are to become a reality depends on the game themselves. Some, likeCrash Team Racing, are already rumored to beported on other systems like the PlayStation 5. Others, like the updatedUltra Street Fighter 2, have yet to be hinted at beyond this leak.

Not only are many of these offerings in theNvidia GeForce Nowleak rarely the subject of rumors, they seem specific enough to only potentially be catering to fan demands. That said,Destroy All Humans! 3may be the most likely due to the recent announcement of aDestroy All Humans! 2remake.
